CERITA PROF DI UK

Cerita ini menceritakan tentang pengalaman Prof Normaliza sepanjang belajar di luar negara. Beliau hendak mencari rumah sewa yang dekat dengan kedai Pakistan sebab senang mencari makanan halal. Ramai juga yang mencari rumah di situ. Semasa tiba di situ, ada satu persatuan pelajar yang menyambut pelajar baharu dan ternyata ramai pelajar Melayu. Di  sana, terdapat banyak kedai Pakistan dan senang untuk dapatkan makanan halal. Terdapat ramai pelajar Melayu tetapi komunitinya kecil dan mempunyai sedikit kesalahfahaman. Hal ini kerana pada suatu hari beliau ternampak pelajar Melayu di sebuah kedai dan ingin menegurnya. Ternyata pelajar tersebut cuba melarikan diri dan nampak tidak suka ditegur. Beliau ingatkan jika terdapat pelajar Malaysia di luar negara, ini membuatkan kita semakin bangga kerana terdapat rakan seangkatan dan ingin menegur pelajar-pelajar tersebut. Namun, tidak semua orang mudah suka menerima teguran dan tidak suka bercakap. Tetapi Prof tidak berkecil hati setelah dijelaskan oleh pelajar tersebut. Bagi Prof dia mengerti dan tidak berasa kecil hati tetapi setelah itu, beliau mengingatkan diri sendiri supaya tidak menegur mana-mana pelajar Melayu kerana takut membawa ketidakselesaan pada orang tersebut. Ada ketika apabila Prof terserempak dengan seorang artis Malaysia dan menegur dengan memberi salam. Lalu artis itu terkejut namun hanya reaksi yang diberi tanpa menegur Prof kembali. Kesimpulannya, apabila berada di negara orang, kita akan lebih menghargai kewujudan orang Melayu dan bangga menjadi orang Malaysia. Selain itu gembira dengan kehadiran mereka yang bersama-sama mencari rezeki dan bekerja di luar negara dan sama-sama menolong antara satu sama lain, namun tidak pada pengalaman Prof. Beliau berasa pelik kerana tiada yang senyum dan mampu menerima teguran sesama pelajar Melayu di luar negara, namun tidak pelik berdasarkan suasana di tempat tersebut. Mereka tidak suka kehadiran orang yang bertudung, yang bergelak ketawa dan ramai-ramai dalam kumpulan. Mereka akan menjerit-jerit menghalau menyuruh kembali ke negara asal.
